Fees
Notary fees in Singapore are fixed by law
Notarial fees in Singapore are prescribed by rule, so every notary charges the same for the same act. There is no price to negotiate and nothing to be gained by ringing round, which is worth knowing before you spend an afternoon doing it.

I live abroad, so I could mail my degree to JCP, and they help me get it apostilled, and then courier it back to me. Everything is done within 1 week. Very professional and fast service.

Extremely impressed with JCP Law's team. They completed a notarised deed poll with apostille and mailed it to me overseas, all in under a week. Exceptionally fast and efficient. The team was professional and responsive throughout the entire process.

I recently had certificates translated from Indonesian to English and certified by JCP. The service was excellent from start to finish. The team was professional, efficient, and the translations were accurate.

Questions
Common questions
What does a notary public actually do?
A notary is a lawyer with a further appointment, whose signature and seal are recognised abroad. The work is mostly confirming that things are what they appear to be: that you are who you say you are, that you signed in front of them, or that a copy matches its original.
Do I need an appointment?
It is much better to arrange one, particularly if you are working to a deadline. Tell us what the document is when you get in touch and we can also check you are bringing the right things, which saves a second trip.
Can you come to me?
Ask. It depends on the document and the timing, and there may be an additional charge, but where someone genuinely cannot attend it is often possible.
Is the notarised document then ready to use overseas?
Usually not on its own. Most countries want the notary's signature verified afterwards, which means authentication by the Singapore Academy of Law and then either an apostille or legalisation at an embassy. We will tell you which applies before you start.

Tell us what needs signing and when you need it by. If you are not sure which officer it needs, send the document and we will tell you.
